A Message from Kim & Phil
“We were founded in 1998 because we know what it’s like to be injured. We handle dozens of cases per month and have for decades. It takes time to have this much success for our clients. As partners, we guarantee that our associate attorneys, and ourselves, will perform all case tasks at the highest level of professionalism.“
In 1998, Kim MacCloskey & Associates was founded to better serve injury victims by representing people with the same level of dedication and expertise that we’d want if we were the client. By that time, Kim had already spent over 8 years working as a personal injury lawyer, and believed it was time to strike out on his own to better serve the needs of injury victims. Since then, Kim MacCloskey and Associates, LLP, and now our successor firm MacCloskey Kesler and Associates, LLC, has represented thousands of people who have been injured in all manner of car, truck and motorcycle collisions, dog attacks, fall downs, and other types of personal injury situations. Our mission is to provide the best possible representation we can to injury victims. We do not represent insurance companies against people.
Unlike many firms, we are known throughout Northern and Central Illinois as a firm that actually tries cases. Only by trying cases and getting good verdicts does a law firm earn the respect of insurance companies and the defense lawyers they hire to advise them. Unless a law firm has the respect of the insurance companies and their lawyers, it will not be able to get full and fair compensation for injury victims.
Since we have concentrated our law practices in the area of personal injury, and have prosecuted thousands of cases for injury victims, we have expertise that some other firms may not have. Many times we have accepted employment in cases that other lawyers have turned down, and ended up obtaining fair compensation for those clients when those other lawyers did not think that was possible.
We have also represented injury victims after other, usually out of state lawyers, have missed certain Statutes of Limitation. Every state in the United States has its own, unique Statutes of Limitation for various types of injury situation. If the lawyer you hire isn’t familiar with Illinois Statutes of Limitation, it could cause a big problem for you. Make sure you hire a lawyer who is knowledgeable in the law of the state where you were injured.
